Globish: A language Proposal for all People

This is pronouncing English, the effective lingua franca of the world, with your native vowels.


I have conversed with several AIs (Gemini 3 Pro, Kimi K2 Thinking, Kimi K2 0905, which have validated this idea. In particular, the Kimi model series is recognized by benchmarks as the most unsycophantic models around: the least likely to simply agree to everything you say.


Following is the evidence and justifications. If you already know how to write and read English, speaking Globish (you can even grant it a regional name, like Latino English) is a cakewalk.

"But why not just have .md files in Github?" Because this is to be a page eventually, and it's best if we start early.

Phonology/Usage Example: "bit" and "beat" would more or less sound the same, as with "ship" and "sheep". As you can see, it's an easy idea.

Evidence and Justifications:

All good stories begin with the past leading to the present, so they say. But it would be boring here.

  1. First, I began by telling Gemini 3 Pro to translate the Real Academia Española (RAE: the official Spanish language academy and dictionary) "ficha" article to English, as I had observed the AI frontend (the user-facing interface, in this case Google AI Studio)'s Spanish translation in my mom's phone, which seemed poor quality despite Google deploying advanced Gemini-based translation to Translator just days earlier.
  2. This confirmed that from the varied meanings for "ficha", none fit properly.
  3. I tried to propose using "símbolo" from "Símbolo del Sistema" (Windows cmd.exe), but 3 Pro shot that idea down: it didn't capture prompt engineering's creative aspect.
  4. Next, I commented on the various "unaccuracies" one gets by translating terms directly from Spanish, like "head" can be "cabeza" or (Latin America) "cabecera", "zócalo" can be "socket" or "a plaza in Mexico City", and so forth.
  5. We talked about how Spanish speakers transform "prompt" into "promt" and even "prom" due to linguistical features.
  6. I complained English is inefficient, requiring a Look-Up Table (LUT) in your head. Gemini 3 Pro agreed. Spanish was compared to fast streaming.
  7. We imagined Spanish/Latin being the universal tech language, and it was wonderful. For example,

  8. I noted Apis (plural of API: Application Programming Interface) also refers to the genus of bees, and that Richard M. Stallman officially declared "Ñu" to be the official pronounciation of GNU in English, skipping "gah-noo" confusion.
